A large part of being Presbyterian is that we govern ourselves. Our church leadership is made up of a Session of Elders and seven committees which guide the various aspects of our church. We have described each committee below, and each year we invite our members to participate and use their unique gifts and talents to serve on or assist one or more of these committees.

Building and Grounds |
Provides for the management of the property of the church, including determination of the appropriate use of church buildings and facilities. |

Christian Education |
Develops and supervises the church school and the educational program of the church and recommends to the session all leadership personnel to carry out the educational program. Responsible for acquisitions and organization of the church library. Supervises the fellowship activities of the church. |

Evangelism |
Keeps the whole of Westminster Church concerned about evangelism through an emphasis on Bible study, prayer and promotion of church attendance. |

Mission |
Leads the congregation in ministries of personal and social healing and reconciliation in the community. Determines the distribution of the church's local benevolences. |

Nominating |
Nominates candidates for elder at the October meeting of the congregation and nominates members-at-large for the standing committees. |
 |
Stewardship |
Challenges the membership to participate in the responsible Christian stewardship of money as well as of time and talents. |
 |
Worship |
Provides for the regular worship of the people of God and for the music program. Supervises the arrangements for the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper; arranges for ushers, greeters, and acolytes. Responsible for the publication of the church newsletter, bulletin and church directory. |
