What We Believe
Westminster Presbyterian Church is an expression of God's love to the Nacogdoches community and to the rest of the world. Our hope is that the people who are around us will see within our church, both when we are gathered and when we are out in the world as individuals, the love of Jesus Christ.

We welcome all to our church and believe that we offer a climate of worship which is best described as spiritual, but also classical and traditional.

In our worship we place emphasis on the proclamation of the Word, classical and traditional music, and the celebration of the sacraments. We offer a place of service for all who call Westminster home.

There is a heavy emphasis on mission and many of our members serve Christ as volunteers in various help agencies in Nacogdoches, many take time to help with other church programs such as Sunday School, youth and fellowship events.

As a Presbyterian church we are bound by our polity, which places the authority for governing the church with the active elders in the church who with the pastor make up the Session. These elders as well as the pastor are elected by the congregation.

Our basic beliefs are consistent with mainline Protestantism. We place a heavy emphasis on the sovereignty of God and our lives are lived out in gratitude for what God has accomplished for us in Jesus Christ.
