What Membership Means

Membership at Westminster is a way of saying: this is my community, and I'm here on purpose.

It's not a contract or a checklist. It's a commitment to share in the life of this congregation in worship, prayer, learning, giving, and service. It means being known and showing up for one another. It means trusting that the Spirit is doing something here worth being part of.

How to Join

There are three paths to membership in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.):

Profession of Faith and Baptism

For those who have not been baptized and are making a first public commitment to follow Jesus Christ.

Reaffirmation of Faith

Ffor those who have been baptized and are recommitting to the life of faith, whether returning to church after time away or coming from another tradition.

Transfer of Letter

For those transferring membership from another congregation.

In each case, members take vows to trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to be a faithful disciple, and to participate in the life and mission of the church through worship and service.

First Steps Brunch

The best way to explore membership is to join us for a First Steps Brunch, a casual meal where you can meet Pastor Kallie and a few elders, ask your questions, learn about Presbyterian faith and practice, and start finding your place in this community.

No commitment required. Just a good conversation over good food.

What Members Do

There's no membership manual, but here's the honest version: members worship, pray, study, give, and serve. Some sing in the choir. Some teach Sunday school. Some show up every Wednesday to cook for the congregation. Some serve on Session or as deacons. Some just keep showing up on Sundays and loving the people around them  and that counts, deeply.

The point isn't perfection. It's participation in the life of a community that's trying, together, to follow Jesus in this place.
